2025/26
Behavioural & Motivational
With many of the members going through interview processes, we wanted to make sure we know how to answer more than just the technical questions.
S&T
We looked at what S&T is, and got a better understanding of what an S&T Assessment Center looks like. After the presentation we were divided into groups to solve a case study from an actual interview.
Competition and Games
In this workshop we were split into teams, and then we competed against each other in a quiz with topics ranging from technicals, market, and brain teasers, to WiF history and general knowledge.
Quantitative Finance
We got an introduction to what quantitative finance is, its evolution, and some core applications. One of the girls shared her experience and a project she worked on.
Case Studies
Considering several members are doing assessment centers these weeks, we learned how we can nail case studies in a stressful situation, and even practiced in groups.
Internship Experiences
We dedicated our first workshop after summer to tell each other about our internship experiences. This included a bit about the sector, day-to-day work, and what the typical tasks for an intern are.
Real Estate
In this workshop we focused on real estate. We explored categories, key metrics, trends, etc. After an extensive presentation, we worked on a case study in teams.
Overview of Career Paths
We explored some of the paths within finance, such as asset management, investment banking, and hedge funds. Several girls presented what characterise each of them and what a day looks like.
2024/25
Private Equity
This workshop introduced private equity, covering fund structure, investment strategies, deal lifecycles, and current market trends. We also discussed personal experiences in the industry.
Leveraged Finance
In our Leveraged Finance workshop, two members presented the mechanics of leveraged buyouts and explored deal structures. Afterwards, we collaborated on building an LBO model, applying key concepts to evaluate acquisition strategies.
Finance and Consulting
The Finance and Consulting workshop explored strategic roles in the financial sector, highlighting key skills, industry insights, and career opportunities at the intersection of both fields.
Blended Finance
This workshop explored how concessional capital and risk-mitigating tools can mobilize private investment in developing markets. One member shared her internship experience at BlackRock. We also collaborated on an SDG loan fund case study.
Private Credit
This workshop covered the fundamentals of private credit, from direct lending to distressed debt. Then, we analyzed fund strategies and worked together to choose the most suitable one.
Financial Bubbles
In this workshop, we examined historical financial bubbles and the behavioral finance theories behind them. During the presentation, we played a memory card game, matching famous bubbles with their causes and outcomes, reinforcing our understanding in a fun, memorable way.
Wealth Management
The Wealth Management workshop explored strategies for preserving and growing personal and client assets. We looked at the difference between asset and wealth and asset management, internship experiences, and a case study.
The VC Mindset
In this workshop, we explored key principles behind the venture capital mindset, discussed research by Stanford Professor Ilya Strebulaev, and analyzed how VCs approach decision-making, risk-taking, and identifying high-potential startup opportunities.
Asset Management
This workshop covered key topics in asset management, such as sales, private equity, and real estate. We looked at what is considered when evaluating a company, the process of and investment, and real investments among other things.
Impact of the US Election on the Economy
This workshop analyzed how U.S. elections historically affect economic indicators, financial markets, and asset classes. We also discussed 2024 candidate policies, market reactions to recent events, and potential implications for investors and private equity.

This workshop covered the fundamentals of private credit, from direct lending to distressed debt. After the presentation, we analyzed fund strategies and worked together to choose the most suitable one.
Options and Greeks
This workshop introduced the foundations of options trading, explored pricing models like Black-Scholes and binomial trees, and explained key Greeks—Delta, Gamma, Theta, Vega—to analyze how options respond to time, volatility, and market movements.
